Rassada, Chalong or Royal Phuket Marina for Maya Bay?

The Maya Bay day trips on this site leave from six piers and marinas, Rassada and Royal Phuket Marina among them; none leaves from Chalong. If you are staying near Phuket Old Town, Rassada is the closest of the three piers.

Which tour leaves from which pier

Piers and check-in times checked November 2026. Most of these tours also sell a hotel transfer to the pier; your booking confirmation names the pier and the time.

Chalong Pier, in the south of the island, is not where any of these days start. If a tour you are looking at leaves from Chalong, the map below shows it is 4 km further from Maya Bay in a straight line than Rassada.

How far the piers are

Distances by road, from a route planner, November 2026. Rassada Pier to Chalong Pier is 14.4 km by road, and to Royal Phuket Marina 14.8 km.

From Old Town, Rassada is a short ride. From Kamala, or from a hotel near the airport, Royal Phuket Marina is closer by road than Rassada. From Karon, Chalong is 9.3 km by road and Rassada 21.1 km, but the days here do not use Chalong, so from the west-coast beaches the hotel transfer is the simpler choice.

When the transfers collect you

• One Asia Corporation: shared transfer, pickup between 7:00 and 8:00 AM; or check in at the Boat Ramp Pier before 8:15 AM for the 8:45 AM start.
• QUEEN OF ANDAMAN PHUKET: pickup between 7:00 and 8:00 AM, and 105 minutes in the van on its itinerary.
• Good Morning Holiday (PNT Phuket): a shared transfer from Patong, Kalim, Kata and Karon, and a dearer one from Kamala, Bangtao, Surin, Panwa Beach and Laguna (US$55.19 and US$64.14 a person on 20 January 2027, against US$52.21 meeting at the pier; checked November 2026).
• Sea Angel Cruises: shared transfers from Kata, Karon, Patong, Kamala, Surin, Bangtao and Phuket Town on the hotel pickup option.
• V. Marine Tour's sunrise day: hotel pickup for the 4:30 AM start, about 40 minutes by van to Royal Phuket Marina.
